Meet Our Organizers

Jay Rowe, Executive Director & Founder

Jay’s passion for the environment began at an early age, and was re-ignited when he became a father. Attempting to provide a clean, healthy home for his children, he began exploring simpler “green” living. Combining his love of Rochester with his passion for the environment, local arts and social equity, he founded Rochester Greenovation.”

Deb Muratore, President

I was at a cross road in my life. Thanks to Jay Rowe and Paola Macas Betchart for asking me to become a board member of Rochester Greenovation.

It’s an honor to be the new Board President.  I am working with a wonderful organization that has the same passion, creativity and goals that I have always tried to live my life by.

I am a lifelong Environmental Activist Organizer working to Preserve, Protect and Enjoy - using networking, marketing and communication skills to promote education, discussion and action.

Integrating my intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual dimensions to the understanding of and a commitment to the interdependence of all life.

Passionately living my life as an advocate for the planet by promoting environmental sustainability, spiritual fulfillment and social justice.

Working collaboratively with environmental groups, businesses, community organizations, government agencies, schools and individuals.

Honesty is my guiding light and moral compass.

I look forward to meeting with anyone who would like to volunteer their time, skills or knowledge to help promote Rochester Greenovation’s mission to strength local communities through environmentally conscious initiatives, waste diversion, and education.

Angela Wood, Board Member

Angela is a recent graduate of RIT with a passion for promoting greener living and getting people to talk about what is going on in their community. Many have disguised these topics with the tainted word “politics”, but these topics would more appropriately be called “future of our planet”. Seek the truth and question everything!
