Material Donations

We accept a wide variety of materials, furnishings, and objects; if you are unsure if we will accept a donation feel free to call us at (585) 288-7564 or refer to our list of accepted donations below. If you don’t find it listed in the Do Not column, we will probably take it.

Although we unfortunately cannot accept all items for recycling, there are many recycling centers around the region that do accept items such as hazardous waste and broken TVs. Click here to see our Recycling Guide.

Anything that has been recalled or does not meet current safety standards

*Due to new regulations concerning furniture safety and bed bugs, we reserve the right to use discretion when accepting donated furniture. Upholstered furniture can both carry and attract unwanted pests. If we decline your donation, it is not necessarily because we think your item is infested with bed bugs. Furniture treatment is expensive, and we are attempting to reduce any possible future costs. Thank you for your understanding.
